We would like to acknowledge that the soil between our toes, and the soil our trees grasp deeply with their roots, is occupied, unceded Indigenous territory, which was stolen by genocidal European colonizers. Our project spans the lowlands around the Salish Sea, including the unceded lands of many different peoples. Our greenhouse and nursery are on the unceded lands of the the Duwamish People, the first people to live here, and a people who still live here today. We are immensely grateful to the earth for helping us to nurture our trees, and to the Duwamish Tribe for their long stewardship of this land, as we join them in demanding justice for their people.
