Johnson, according to Ken: "a large, smooth, green-skin avocado, not unlike Grande Negra. It has never taken damage [in Waterford]." Elmo is named after the guy who owned the tree he got it from.

(April 24, 2024) Update -- The only tree grafted with this so far was moved back outdoors in February, and potted up to a larger pot this spring. It's back in the greenhouse to help with temperatures for pollination now that the flowers are getting close to opening.
