This tree does not have any grafts on it.

(February 8, 2025) Inter-freeze update -- After a few weeks of intermittent mild to moderate freezes (lowest temperature of 25.7°F/-3.5°C), this tree has lost most of the leaves other than in the lower/inner canopy, and the growing tips (which had been actively flushing) are crispy on the stems as well.
(January 17, 2025) Pre-freeze update -- Looking very happy and actively growing.

(August 30, 2024) Update -- Has grown quite well from the roots this season, already seems to have comparable biomass to last season and still has some growing left to do.
(April 20, 2024) Update -- New buds swelling around the base.
(March 4, 2024) Update -- Somehow I forgot to post updates on this one after the January freeze. It looks pretty dead above ground despite getting a fleece cover. Still a hint of green around the soil line.
(October 28, 2023) Frost report -- Slight damage to new emerging flush from 30°F.
